A new documentary on Wyandotte County - particularly the campaign to consolidate the governments of Kansas City, Kan. and Wyandotte County - has been produced by Kansas City Public Television (KCPT).

The premiere showing of the documentary was Jan. 16 at the Central Branch of the Kansas City Public Library in downtown Kansas City, Mo.

The documentary provides an inspiring look into the multi-year struggle to combine the city and county governments, after decades of economic decline, political corruption, and population loss in Wyandotte County. It demonstrates the impact that average citizens can have on the political process.
